Imogene Jeanne Atteberry

	A 75-year resident of Carmi, Imogene Jeanne Atteberry, passed away Friday, February 23, 2001 at Rauberson Hospital in Okeechobee, Florida.  She was born June 8, 1925 in Saline County, the daughter of Ray and Madge (Harper) Mick.  She married Charles Hon Atteberry on June 24, 1944 and he survives.  She was a secretary in the Carmi School System.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carmi, the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary and the Lady Elks.
	Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Charles of Carmi; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert H. and Nancy Atteberry of Moscow, Kan. and James T. and Judy Atteberry of DuQuoin; a brother, James Mick of Crossville; a half-brother, Larry Mitchell of Columbus, Ohio; a step-brother, Zooral Mitchell of New Harmony, Ind.; a half-sister, Sue Roser of Carmi; three step-sisters, Ruby Meler of Carrier Mills, Jenelle Martin of Stone Fort and Margie Sieckmann of Watervliet, Mich.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
	 Funeral services for Imogene Jeanne Atteberry, 75, of Carmi, were Wednesday, February 28 at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with the Rev. Nicholas Showalter officiating.  Burial was in the White County Memorial Garden. Friends called at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Tuesday from 3 until 6 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
